Addressing the 6th General Assembly of the World Assembly of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in Tehran, Maliki added that the Wahabists seek to annihilate the followers of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

He further slammed Saudi Arabia’s all-out supports for Takfiri terrorists like ISIL, al-Qaeda, Taliban, Boko Haram, al-Nusra and al-Shabab, all of whom have originated from Wahabist ideology.

Al-Maliki noted that the Wahabist ideology has originated in Saudi Arabia and supported financially, ideologically and in other ways by the Riyadh regime.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the former Iraqi premier referred to the ongoing crisis in his country, saying that Iraq is the target of a plot hatched by the world arrogance and backed by Saudi Arabia and the Zionist regime.

The 6th General Assembly of the World Assembly of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) kicked off in Tehran on Saturday morning.

Some 700 foreign guests from 130 countries as well as Iranian cultural and political figures are present at the event, which will run for four days.
