Turkish scholar slams deviate ISIL ideology

Mohammad Gurmez, Turkey's head of the religious affairs, assimilated DAESH to Khawarij denouncing the terrorist group for excommunicating all Muslims from Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He called ISIL the brainchild of Al Qaeda with the difference that it ISIL excommunicates even Qaeda and calls its massacre of the people as Jihad.

Turkish scholar denounced crimes committed by ISIL and noted," Shedding the blood of the people and violating their rights is not called Jihad when true Jihad is confrontation with oppression and corruption; then, what ISIL is claiming to be Jihad is a great treachery to Islam."

Gurmez criticized ISIL for bringing the worst damage to Islam and said," All scholars religious institutions have rejected DAEH as a non-Islamic construct; therefore, Muslim scholars have to convene and take a unified stance against the terrorist group."
