Cleric denounces cartoons of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, called Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as the secret to justice, righteousness, confrontation with segregation and western arrogant powers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"Here in the Seminary of Qom, which is a center for supporting justice, freedom and religious values and also defending the holy prophets of God and holy Qur'an, we condemn the heinous act by the French magazine desecrating the prophet of Islam." Said Ayatollah Araki and added, "We demand punishment of the allies and supporters of the French magazine."

Top cleric made speech in a convention held to protest the recent French cartoonist desecrating the holy prophet of Islam in Qom, Iran, and said desecrating Islamic sanctities; particularly Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is disrespecting God Almighty, righteousness and rationality.
Top cleric called the prophet of Islam as the symbol of justice and purity and said," Has it not been for the prophet of Islam and his companions, there would be no trace of justice and freedom in society."

According to Ayatollah Araki, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the secret to justice, righteousness, segregation and western crimes.

Iranian cleric also touched upon the meaning of freedom of speech in the west and noted that the west is a supporter of the Zionist policies rather than freedom of speech.

"More than seven million French Muslims are deprived of citizenship rights and many Muslim women in this country are dismissed from schools and their jobs only because of maintaining their Islamic Hijab." He said and demanded, "Why should these women banned from dressing according to their religion?"

"Does your religion allow telling lies? Does your religion permit accusing others?" said the cleric and added," You are a supporter of lies, accusation and speech crime because speech crime is the onset of other crimes."

The cleric said," We slam the disrespect same way that we slam terrorists and terrorism."

Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed that Islamic Sharia seriously rejects terrorism and noted," Terrorism is banned in the religious culture of Muslims and here we condemn the terror attack in France same way that we slam French magazine's act to disrespect the Prophet of Islam (PBUH)."

Senior Iranian cleric warned that the reaction of French politicians in regard to desecration of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) will turn France into another Syria and noted," Here we warn French politicians not to betray their nation by supporting this magazine and prevent beginning of a civil war in the country."
