Heavily armed forces surrounded the house of Sheikh Ali Salman, Secretary General of Al Wefaq National Islamic Society, this afternoon to deliver a summons to appear at the interrogations department (office 99)on Sunday.

Al Wefaq Society considered this an adventure by the regime to run away from the suffocating crisis with its people.

The escalation came after tens of thousands of Bahrainis joined a mass pro-democracy rally on Friday afternoon.

On Friday evening, Al Wefaq Society held its General Assembly which was attended by thousands of its members.
