People who refuse to join the militants’ war on Iraqi government forces face up to 80 lashes, said tribal sources from the town of Hit in Anbar province.

The sources also say that locals live in a perpetual state of fear and are not permitted to exit the town.

The ISIL militants’ move is reportedly aimed at refilling their ranks after losing heavy numbers during the battles in the recent weeks.

The ISIL Takfiris have also moved part of their armored vehicles and military equipment to the al-Baghdadi district and the town of Haditha.

The militants are preparing for a major attack on the Ain al-Asad airbase, which is currently being used by the government forces to launch attacks on ISIL-held areas.

The ISIL terrorist group controls some parts of Syria and Iraq. The Takfiris have engaged in crimes against humanity in the areas under their control, including mass murdering local civilians as well as captured army and security officers while terrorizing people from diverse communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, and Christians.
