Making remarks in Quran Channel, Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki underlined, "Eid al-Adha of is the day of practicing purification," reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"The Eid al-Adha belongs to all Muslims and human beings," said the grand Ayatollah, stating that pilgrims are the representatives of human beings and communities in this holy day.


Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought went on to add, "in point of fact, Eid al-Adha is the Eid of returning to purity."

Ayatollah Araki put accentuation on the term of purification and immaculacy as the objectives forwarded by all divine religions and especially the divine religion of Islam.


Elsewhere in his remarks, the grand Ayatollah stressed that Hajj provides the conducive round for Muslims so as to make a move and evolve in the right path and based on Islamic teachings.

In Ayatollah Araki's terms, the existence of Islam Prophet (PBUH) and also the infallible Imams are the source of purity and probity for Muslims.


In another line of his speech, Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought urged Muslims to abide by other Islamic rules and instructions which all by nature pave the ground for societies to evolve and purge misdeed measures from it.

It is worthwhile to note that Millions of Muslims across Iran are celebrating Eid al-Adha, which marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.


During the religious festival, Muslims slaughter livestock and distribute meat among friends, family and the poor.

The holiday commemorates Prophet Ibrahim or Abraham (PBUH)’s submission to divine order to sacrifice his son, Ismail (PBUH). However, God provided Ibrahim (PBUH) with a lamb to sacrifice instead.
