President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday condoled families of passngers who lost their lives in an air crash this morning, assigning the road and urban development minister to present a detailed report on the incident.

He also called on the minister to discontinue the flights of this type of plane and fully oversee the observance of technical standards in all other flights.

During todayˈs cabinet session, ministers of roads and urban development and defense presented reports on the crash.

The President also ordered the health, treatment and medical education minister to provide those wounded in the air crash with full treatment services.

The plane, belonging to Sepahan Airlines, crashed when its engine shut down shortly after taking off from Tehran Mehrabad International Airport at 9:45 hours local time (0515 GMT) Sunday.
