Iran’s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has slammed divisions among Muslims as a contributor to Israel’s recent aggression against the Gaza Strip.

“The unfair attack by the Zionist regime (Israel) against Gaza has been due to the weakness of Islamic countries’ rulers and discord among Muslims,” Larijani said on Friday.

Larijani pointed to the ongoing crises in Iraq, Syria and Palestine, and noted the settlement of those issues requires the support of the Muslim population.

The senior Iranian legislator called on Muslims to put aside their differences and become united to put an end to “sedition” in the Islamic world.

The death toll from the five days of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip has risen to at least 122 as several are wounded in an anti-Israel protest in the West Bank.

More than 800 people were injured in the latest round of Israeli attacks on Gaza since July 8. Most of the victims have been women and children.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that the Tel Aviv will not stop its attacks on Gaza.

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has called for employing all resources available to the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to put an end to Israel’s atrocities in the besieged coastal sliver.

Rouhani has also slammed the UN over its silence towards Israeli onslaught against the Gazans.
