Former chairman of foreign affairs committee in Iran’s Parliament stressed importance of dynamic diplomacy for the country and called Iran’s commitment for inclusive security guarantees regional and international countries.

Mahmoud Mohammadi, former ambassador to Algiers and Tunisia, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted on the sideline of 23rd Press Exhibitions in the Iranian capital related on the current situation in the Middle East and called the responsibility of Tehran for security as a guarantee for interests of all regional countries.
He said that the crisis in the region has partially contained in the Middle East region though the intrigues and political issues are sustaining and noted,” Daesh has been reined as an organized ideology but their ideology is not contained yet.”
He highlighted the role of Islamic Republic of Iran as a key player in the region which has turned into a power and said Iran’s voluntary presence in campaign for regional security and its struggles to target Daesh has turned the country into a power.
Former spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry hailed political strategies of Iran in the region and said cooperation for prevalence of peace and security in the region and institutionalization of the cooperation is a responsibility of Iran’s foreign policy.
Mahmoud Mohammadi reiterated that the current ambiance in the region demands application of new strategies to turn ‘importance’ to ‘power’ and said this dynamic strategy can lead to collective cooperation in the Middle East.
According to the former MP the strategies maintained by the Supreme Leader have changed the situation in the region and had it not been for the leader’s support for solidarity in the Middle East, regional countries would have been in a different status quo when Daesh ideology would have challenged the whole region.
He also called that the media and parliamentary diplomacy of Iran to be set in a focal point so that regional countries note leader’s views in this arena.
Iranian former envoy highlighted the role of Taqrib News Agency and NGO’s active in the field of Islamic unity to boost proximity among Muslims and solidarity of denominations.
