Holding unity meetings is a necessity

Seasoned religious cleric of Khorasan, Gol Mohammad Momen in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) stressed the necessity of mounting Islamic Unity conference and Intellectual assistance among Shia and Sunni clerics in different part of Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sunni scholar beckoned to some moves cause distrust among Muslims, leveling criticism at any measures which in turn led to disunity and dispersion among Muslims.

The cleric put accentuation on the effective role of unity conferences and gathering, stating the events can provide congenital milieu for Muslims so as to sit at talks and reason out their problems or conflicts.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Gol Mohammad Momen pointed to the key role of religious seminaries in preserving unity and solidarity among Muslims, and underscored, “these centers and places can be counted as factors effective in promoting unity in the World of Islam.”

The 28th International Islamic Unity conferences this year as always laid an amicable milieu for Muslims from different Islamic sects and denominations so as to open dialogue and come up with various different strategies in a bid to solve and reason out their setbacks.
