Religious proximity is proximity of Islamic stances
Speaking on threshold of the Islamic Unity Conference titled “Twenty Eight Years of Mutual Effort and Intellectual Assistance”, one of the Lebanese religious scholars and researchers hailed Iran’s effort in the area of rapprochement.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) and on the threshold of the Islamic Unity Conference titled “Twenty Eight Years of Mutual Effort and Intellectual Assistance”, the Lebanese religious scholar and researcher , Sheikh Jafar Al-Mohajer hailed Islamic Republic of Iran’s effort in the area of rapprochement among Muslims from different religious sects and denominations.
“The idea of rapprochement stands on two bases,” said the religious cleric, laying stress on the first base and pointed out, “mutual understanding among Muslims is one of them.”
He enlarged on his line and underscored, "the divine religion of Islam is much more powerful than we think, but some of enemies’ effort in furthering dispersion among Muslims caused decrease in Islamic relations".
Sheikh Jafar Al-Mohajer beckoned to the second issue and stressed, “the proposal of religions rapprochement does not refer to suggesting a religion, all the same, religious proximity is the proximity of Islamic stances.”
The Lebanese religious scholar and researcher highlighted the telling role of religious institutes and centers in preserving unity and rapprochement among Muslims, urging them to keep going in fulfilling the set objects in the area of unity.
It is worthwhile to note that, along with Sheikh Jafar Al-Mohajer religious clerics call on Muslims to make a move in the unity arena. In clerics’ line, Muslims’ Islamic Ummah should be renovated by a new fraternal spirit in the world of Islam.
The enemies want Muslims to plunge to moribund in different areas and realms, and Muslims should stand against their common enemies and their morbid fascination of Murder.
They should rectify their previous mistakes and do not focus on minute differences which can rupture the standing peace and amicable relation in the Islamic World.
Such lines corroborate the presumption that Islamic Scholars always want the best for the united Ummah. Needless to say, unity activists and religious clerics, Muslims are invincible if they keep their unity. /SR
