'Resistance Cleric Confab aims at furthering support for Palestine': Ayatollah Araki

Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts underscored the international Conference of Islamic World Scholars in Defense of Palestine Resistance can made influential decision over furthering support for Palestinian nations.

Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki in an interview with TNA reporter underscored the international Conference of Islamic World Scholars in Defense of Palestine Resistance can made influential decision, at the international levels, over furthering support for Palestinian nations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"We made important decision about backing the Islamic resistance and dispatching humanitarian aids to Gaza strip," said the grand Ayatollah, stating that this gathering can also take effective steps in helping those groups suffered by the crimes of Takfiri and terroristic groups.

To many religious clerics and analyst, holding the present conference of Resistance Cleric can be literally effective in upholding unity among resistance front and anti-Israeli groups.

Needless to say, Israel’s recent war on Gaza ended on August 26 by an Egyptian-brokered truce, which took effect after Cairo negotiations. The deal stipulates the ease of Israel’s blockade as well as the provision of a guarantee that Palestinian demands will be met.

Israeli warplanes and tanks started pounding the blockaded enclave in early July, inflicting heavy losses on the Palestinian land. Almost 2,140 Palestinians, mostly civilians, including women, children and the elderly, were killed in 50 days of the Israeli onslaught on Gaza. Around 11,000 others were injured.
