More than 7’000 people in Tafakh village, Shoush, attend the passion play performed on the day of Ashura which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) accompanied by his companions and family members in the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD. The occasion is a landmark in the history of Islam.
