Top Iranian cleric condemned Saudi-led atrocities against Yemeni nation rebuking western countries for inaction against humanitarian situation in the impoverished Arab state.

Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, secretary general of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly, in his remarks at the first summit in support of Yemeni nation held in the Iranian capital of Tehran expressed regret over four years of brutal crimes committed against Yemeni people denouncing the western countries for their inaction to the crisis, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to naming of a day of nonviolence and said a clear instance of violence in modern history is the US, UK and Zionist-led bloodshed of Yemeni nation carried out by Saudi hands.
 
He referred to four years of atrocities against Yemeni people by Saudi Arabia and UAE expressing regret that every 10 seconds a Yemeni child dies as a result of the humanitarian situation in the war-torn countries.
 
The cleric also criticized the United Nations for hesitation to issue a resolution to end the violence in Yemen.
 
Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum stressed,” Al Saud issues a seemingly Islamic statement while invades Yemeni school bus in a forbidden month when any form of war or clash is banned according to Islam.”
 
Iran’s Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum has been a leading supporter of Yemeni civilians holding the first conference on supporting the people in Yemen on December 18, 2019.
