Russian envoy hails Iran’s Islamic university

Russian ambassador to Tehran attended cultural meeting in the Iranian capital lauding major Islamic university for its academic endeavors.

Levan Dzhagaryan, Russian ambassador to Islamic Republic of Iran, participated in conference on cultural and scientific cooperation between Iran and Russia and highlighted the endeavors of Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari, director of Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations (UID) over academic interactions and efforts to promote cultural grounds between the two countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to importance of Persian language courses in Russia.
 
Levan Dzhagaryan referred to the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei where the Supreme Leader stressed necessity of expanding political, economic, military and educational cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
 
The ambassador expressed hope for launching bureau of cultural and academic cooperation between Iran and Russia and that holding such meetings will include student exchange programs and expansion of tourism between the two countries.
 
Halim Hanna from international institute of Moscow called Iran and Russia as academic cooperation partners and praised the mutual ties between Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations and RUDN University in Moscow.
