Senior Bahraini cleric lauded the mourning month of Muharram for creating massive capacity for different religions and denominations to meet.

Ayatollah Seyyed Abdullah Gharifi, prayer leader of Imam Sadeq (AS) Mosque in Qafoul neighborhood hailed Muharram mourning ceremonies for having the capacity to attract Muslims and non-Muslims and unite different religious ideologies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He stressed that Ashura context should be perfectly introduced to world people.
 
Member of the society of senior Bahraini scholars stressed,” Religious ceremonies should extend to its utmost capacities in a bid to embrace all people” praising the capability of Muharram ceremonies to welcome followers of different religions and denominations.
 
The cleric made the remarks on threshold of Arbaeen ceremonies which mark the 40th day after martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam.
 
Millions of Muslims and non-Muslims head to the Iraqi city of Karbala to visit the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) who rose against the tyrant ruler of his time Yazid ibn Muawiya back in 680 AD.
 
Imam Hussein (AS) and 72 of his companions were martyred in the Battle of Karbala on tenth of Muharram marked by Muslims as Ashura.
