Arba’een grand march manifests global power of Islam

An Iranian cleric attended a meeting of cultural figures in the Iran’s northern city of Babol, Mazandaran Province, and called grand march of Arba’een as a symbol for power of Islam spreading beyond the Middle East region.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Abbas Babaee’an, professor at Mazandaran seminary, attended a meeting of cultural figures on the eve of Arba’een ceremony and hailed the massive march to be held on the occasion as a manifestation for the power of Islam which has gone beyond Middle East borders, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric made the remarks on the eve of one of the biggest Islamic marches held concurrent with Arba’een, 40th day after martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), as millions of Muslims head to the holy city of Karbala on a pilgrimage to mark the major Islamic landmark.
 
He said,” The massive gathering is a preparation for confrontation of political Islam against conservative Islam” and added,” All out participation of people in this march proves the might and honor of Islam.”
 
The cleric also lauded the massive gathering of the people in Arba’een as the biggest manifestation of fraternity and solidarity between the neighboring Muslim countries, Iran and Iraq.
 
“Amid the present critical situation when enemies are in pursuit of dividing the two nations” said the scholar and lauded the popular efforts to safeguard their religion, Islam.
