Iran’s cultural research center publishes “Philosophy of Arts and Aesthetics”

Iranian research center has released its latest 48th book which is on arts and aesthetics in view of Islamic wisdom.

“Philosophy of Arts and Aesthetics” is the title for the book by Hujjat-ul-Islam Abul Hassan Ghaffari, which explains the nature of arts besides introducing logical as well as philosophical principles of arts, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Though philosophy of arts has not been exclusively defined in Islamic doctrine, there are notable discussions on philosophy of arts which are valued as a source to deduce principles of Islamic arts.
 
Iranian cleric in his book is making an effort to take a step in introducing “doctrine of Islamic arts.”
 
Articles in the first section of “Philosophy of Arts and Aesthetics” focus on the nature of arts and its relations with religion, methodology of Islamic arts, relations between arts and Islamic Fiq’h, difference between Islamic and non-Islamic arts and issues which should be maintained in installment of Islamic arts.
 
The second section, in fifteen articles, is on aesthetics which is a key point in arts and a principle in philosophy. This section analyses the reality and nature of aesthetics in view of scholars, particularly Muslim scholars, discussing the criteria of Islamic aesthetics.
