Religious cleric urges Muslims to strengthen social bonds in holy Ramadan

Addressing a religious gathering in the Ministry of Culture and propagation of Islam," Head of Islamic and cultural centers in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hojjatol Islam Habib Reza Arzani urged Muslims to use the opportunity provided in holy month of Ramadan to get close to God Almighty, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"Through abiding by Islamic principles, religious thinkers and clerics should set a role model for people throughout the world," stressed Hojjatol Islam Habib Reza Arzani.

Hojjatol Islam Arzani urged Muslims to strengthen their social bonds and promote thier unity through communal worship in this month.

Holy month of Ramadan, to religious thinkers and clerics provides Muslims an opportunity to boost their cooperation and bring their hearts together. It ease the way for Muslims to reach out across Islamic sectarian boundaries so as to build on a lasting unity.

Muslims from all denominations, during the holy month, undertake fasting and also worship in almost identical way. They observe the holy month of Ramadan, eating and drinking only between sundown and sunrise.
