Two Palestinian youths succumb to Israeli gunshot wounds
Two young Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have lost their lives following being wounded amid attacks by Israeli forces against protesters on Gaza border.

Mahmoud Wahba, 17, who had been wounded by Israeli snipers in Gaza on April 1, died on Monday morning, the Palestinian Health Ministry said
According to his brother, medics informed them of Mahmoud's death just hours after they got permission to take him abroad for treatment.
The other victim, Abdullah Shamali, 20, died overnight of “bullet wounds to his belly” sustained on Friday in Rafah, near the fence separating Gaza from the Israeli-occupied lands, according to the ministry.
He was one of five Palestinian protesters, including a 15-year-old, identified as Mohammed Ibrahim Ayyoub, killed or fatally wounded in Gaza on Friday.
The recent fatalities bring to 40 the death toll from Israel’s use of lethal force since the start of protests along the Gaza border on March 30.
More than 4,000 have so far been wounded, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Over 700 alone sustained injuries near the border fence on Friday, it added.
The demonstrations have led to clashes with Israeli forces, who use live ammunition against protesters. Tel Aviv has allowed its sharpshooters to open fire on Palestinians gathering near the fence.
The rallies, dubbed the “Great March of Return,” will last until May 15, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of Nakba Day (Day of Catastrophe) when Israel was created.
The Tel Aviv regime occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem al-Quds and parts of Syria’s Golan Heights during the Six-Day War in 1967. It later annexed East Jerusalem al-Quds in a move not recognized by the international community.
Israel is required to withdraw from all the territories seized in the war under UN Security Council Resolution 242, adopted months after the Six-Day War, in November 1967, but the Tel Aviv regime remains defiant.
