Elsewhere in his remarks, Deputy of Iran Affairs at the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought hailed Sunni people and their religious clerics for observing two main important events of unity week and Decade of Fajr.

Every year, Ten-Day Dawn celebrations are held across the country to mark the occasion. The first day of the celebrations is the day when the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, returned to Iran from exile.

The festivities will culminate in the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the victory of Islamic Revolution, which falls on February 11 this year.

Imam Khomeini’s untiring decades-long work in asserting the nation’s rights culminated in the Revolution, which was followed by the founding of the Islamic Republic on the back of a popular referendum.
