Why have claimants of human rights taken silent on Rohingya Muslims plight?
Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, top Shia jurisprudent, concluded his weekly class in the holy city of Qom reacting to massacre of Muslim community in Myanmar, Yemen and other Islamic states calling world bodies to take action against their plight, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) reported RASA News as saying.

He stressed that the massacre of Muslims in different countries is supported by the arrogant powers and their allies in the region and noted,” We are witness to genocide of Muslim people in Myanmar and a more shameful fact is that the so-called claimants of human rights have taken dead silence against the crime.”

Iranian cleric referred to the responsibility of Muslim rulers against the crimes expressed denunciation for the massacre and called the authorities to investigate into the issue.

The volatile Rakhine, located northwest of the Buddhist-majority Myanmar, has been the scene of communal violence since 2012. Many of the Muslims have lost their lives while tens of thousands have been displaced as a result of attacks by Buddhists. The refugees largely live in camps in dire conditions.
Rakhine has also been under a military siege since October 2016, when the government used a purported deadly militant attack on border guards back then as a pretext to enforce the siege. There have been numerous eyewitness accounts of summary executions, rapes, and arson attacks by security forces against the Muslims since the crackdown began.
The United Nations (UN) has described Rohingya Muslims as the “most persecuted minority group in the world.”

Myanmar’s government denies full citizenship to the Rohingya Muslims, branding them illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.

The country has been under fire by the UN and other global rights groups for the crackdown on the Muslim minority.
