Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) on the sideline of 20th Exhibition of Press and News Agencies underscored the telling role of Iran in fighting extremism.


In Jannati’s line, fighting extremism is a shared and common view among all groups and foundations. Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister stressed, “Addressing the UN General Assembly last year, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani proposed his plan in to fight extremism and the proposal was welcomed by international community.”

“Approving the plan (named the WAVE Act) by the UN indicates the whole world counter violent extremism,” said the cultural face.


Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister stressed the importance and necessity of extending the culture of moderation in the society, calling on media to make a move and take effective steps in this arena.
