“Islamic fiq’h, holy Qur’an ban chemical weapons” cleric

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hussein Falsafirad, professor at Birjand seminary, in an interview with Hawza News, hailed the statement by the Supreme Leader banning use of chemical weapons as a fact on true Islam and said banning chemical weapons has fiq’h and Qur’anic origins, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Based on Islamic teachings bloodshed of one (in chemical attacks) is bloodshed of all people” and quoted Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Imam Ali (AS) banning sudden attacks when the victim has no time to defend himself.

Prayer Leader of Mud city slammed chemical bombings for both killing of the people and destruction caused to the environment.

He referred to a previously issued statement by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei banning use of chemical
weapons and said,” The statement has left certain influences since our enemies are aware of the high impact of religious decrees issued by our jurisprudents.”

Iranian cleric highlighted the rational and religious commands which forbid destructive weapons and said,” While use of weapons in an instance of self-defense is acceptable, production and using destructive weapons and indiscriminate targeting the people, especially civilians, should be prevented.”

He stressed that remarks by the Supreme Leader proves that the stance of Islamic Republic of Iran, contrary to the propagandas, is a pacifist and humanitarian one.
According to the cleric the message deduced from Leader’s statement is the line drawn by true Islam and the Taliban and Daeshi version of Islam supported by world arrogant powers.

July 28 is the anniversary of former Iraqi government chemical bombing of Iran’s Sardasht, Western Azerbaijan in 1987 during Iraq invasion on Iran. The city has been marked as the second victim of chemical weapons after Hiroshima.
