"Palestine will be freed, a state for all its people"
Greta Berlin, American pro-Palestine activist, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) expressed hope that the young American generation will maintain efforts of the older generation in line with freedom of Palestine and send the voice of the voiceless to the world.

American pro-Palestine activist, Greta Berlin has more than half a century of standing up for the cause
of Palestine and the Palestinian nation. She is the co-founder of Free Gaza Movement which sent several boats to Gaza. She is also the author editor of book "Freedom Sailors".

She referred to the role of the social media in bringing the issue of the Palestinian nation among the people when such issues are intentionally kept away from them.

Quite hopeful of the role of the people in standing up for Palestine she referred to her marriage to a Palestinian as the reason that involved her in 51 years of struggles for the Palestinian nation and their occupied lands.

"Not only I married a Palestinian but I have two children and they are Palestinian-Americans and they could not go to where their father was born and raised" she said.

Married to a Nakba survivor she
has remained faithful to the cause of Palestine and continued her efforts even years after her husband was gone and her children were grown and gone.

She said," America is an enormous country with a huge nation. Americans are not stupid, ignorant or dumb. It is that they do not really know about the geopolitical issues but once they learn they are huge advocates of the oppressed or the underdog or the people who do not have their voice heard."

She referred to the background of her efforts for the voiceless saying,"I marched for the Vietnam, for the women's right, for African Americans. But now you have a younger
generation of Americans who thanks to the media have learnt what happens around the world and my great hope is that they do the same thing."

Greta Berlin stressed that one has real possibilities of making a difference if they get on social media, attend conferences, and post on facebook or tweet.

When asked on her message for the Al-Quds Day demonstrators she said," Palestine will be free someday it will go back to a state for all of its people Jerusalem will be shared and I hope I just live up to see it."
