Lauren Booth, journalist broadcaster and author from Britain, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) has called Trump’s embassy relocation as a ‘unilateral decision’ and ‘betrayal to freedom of faith’.

“Al Quds Day means a lot to the whole of the Muslim world” she said stressing the love of all Muslims for their ‘place of worship and third sacred place in Islam’.

Lauren Booth hailed Palestinian nation for their bravery in defending Jerusalem al-Quds and said,” We live in a state now where deliberate Zionist provocation sends people in shoes with guns into
our holy mosque in Jerusalem."

She denounced the media for the desecration of holy mosque going unreported demanding,” How do you think that feels they (Israeli forces) smashed the furniture and windows? This is not reported as a crime in the media. It is a great crime against people’s faith.”

“Can you imagine, God forbid, if people would go into a big synagogue and smashed the things?” she asked calling for the heinous act to be seen as offensive.

British broadcaster said,” Trump betrayed the freedom of Americans by making unilateral decision to move their embassy and to devaluate the freedom of faith that existed on the Muslims in Palestine for thousands of years.”

Participant to a recent international conference on “Jerusalem al-Quds, the Eternal Capital of Palestine”, Lauren Booth said,”
Conferences like that in Mashhad may not wake the international media but they think we are really having coalition of forces”

When asked what contribution conferences and meetings can make for the cause of Palestine she said,” I do believe that books, consultation papers and great understanding between, Muslims, non-Muslims, secularists, feminists and others will come from these conferences” and stressed,” We unite on the rights of the Palestinians and in fact on the rights of all people demanding freedom and good life.”

Lauren Booth concluded, “Iran is one of the rare places in the world where such conferences can be held right now so we should pray for freedom of other places like Turkey and Malaysia as well because we need some free thoughts for Muslims.”
