Ramadan has begun across the globe uniting all Muslims in a religious duty to fast for 30 days abstaining from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk. The ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar is also marked with prayers and Qur’an recitation. Collecting donation for the needy is another recommendation during this month. The end of Ramadan is marked with Eid al Fitr when people celebrate the occasion with visiting relatives and sharing food with each other.
