UN mission in South Sudan has announced freedom of more than 300 child soldiers in the country. This is the first step of the program to prevent employment of 700 children in Yambio. 563 of these children were recruited by forces loyal to President Salva Kiir and 137 were among rebel forces of Riek Machar, former deputy of the president.
87 of the freed children are girls who have probably been subject to much sufferings and sexual abuse. They are all in urgent need of support from their families and friends when back home.
