The report said the Israeli army has struggled to maintain control over the camps, which it described as “strategically vital” areas for resistance activity.
A statement issued by UNRWA noted that Israeli forces began the demolition of more than 16 buildings in Nur Shams Camp in Tulkarm, in northern West Bank.
Residents reported heavy bombardments from tanks and aircraft in several areas of Rafah, where more than a million people had taken refuge before May. Most of the population has fled northwards since then as Israeli forces invaded the city.
