The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the recent decision by the U.S. government to prohibit the entry of Iranian citizens and individuals from several predominantly Muslim countries, labeling it as a manifestation of racism and a violation of fundamental human rights.

In a joint statement on Friday by the US departments of justice, education, and health and human services, it announced that the administration of president Donald Trump cancelled around $400 million worth of grants and contracts to Columbia University, without specifying which ones are implemented in the measures.
