A New resistance group in Syria has vowed to launch surprise attack against Israeli forces occupying the Arab country and also the “terrorist gang” of the militant leader al-Jolani, recently proclaimed as president.

The leader of Syria militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) that took over the country in a surprise attack in December has been appointed as the new president of the Arab country.

The de-facto ruler of Syria says the country will not engage in conflict with Israeli regime following long silence regarding regime’s intrusion into Syrian soil.

Jolani has strategically navigated between alliances and rivalries, portraying himself as a pragmatic leader who can engage with both local and international stakeholders. However, his ambitions remain deeply tied to establishing a broader Islamic governance model in Syria.
