The UN said on Monday that Israel denied or impeded nearly half of coordinated humanitarian aid movements inside the Gaza Strip despite a ceasefire deal, with only just over half fully facilitated over a six-day period.

Israeli officers have admitted Friday to spoiling food, water and medical supplies that were packed in more than 1,000 aid trucks at the Kerem Shalom crossing that were left to rot after their distribution into the Gaza Strip was blocked, Anadolu reports.

Brazilian activist Thiago Avila, who was detained aboard the Gaza-bound aid ship Madleen, has begun a hunger and water strike, the Israeli human rights organization and legal center Adalah said Tuesday.

The United Nations has once again rejected a proposal by Israeli occupation forces regarding how humanitarian aid is delivered to the Gaza Strip.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed, in a statement on Tuesday, "the Kingdom's condemnation in the strongest terms of the Israeli occupation authorities' practice of collective punishment against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, by cutting off electricity to the Strip."

“Humanitarian aid should never be used as a tool of war. Regardless of negotiations between warring parties, people in Gaza still need an immediate and massive scale-up of humanitarian supplies,” MSF said in a post on X.

Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip triggered by the Hamas incursion on 7 October has turned much of the Gaza strip into a wasteland, with at least 1.2 million Palestinians now displaced and crowded into the southern corner of the enclave. Cases of malnutrition and starvation are on the increase, as famine looms.
