Many Iranian families mark the beginning of Persian New Year with in Martyrs’ Cemetery. Traditionally Iranians celebrate the beginning of the year with their loved ones including those martyred.

A number of families spent the New Year’s Eve at Beheshte Zahra cemetery in southern Tehran, to mark the beginning of the Persian New Year with their loved ones who passed away.
