Mufti of Western Georgia: Iran is a source of pride for the Islamic world

According to the Taghrib News Agency, in line with the development of cultural and Quranic cooperation, Mehdi Saadatnejad, the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Adam Shantadze, the Mufti of Western Georgia, at his office in Batumi. Younes Shahmoradi, a distinguished international reciter of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was also present at this meeting.

Saadatnejad, referring to past cooperations and interactions with the Mufti of Western Georgia, noted his attendance at the International Conference on Islamic Unity in Tehran over the past two years.

He also referred to the visit of a delegation from the Administration of Muslims of Georgia to the Islamic Republic of Iran and their meeting with Hojjat al-Islam Imanipour, the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), as the main custodian of cultural consultations, and considered these visits as a suitable ground for deepening relations and better understanding the cultural and religious capacities of the two countries.

Iran's Cultural Attaché, explaining the available capacities in the field of Quranic activities, announced his readiness to develop cooperation in the areas of teaching the Holy Quran, memorization and recitation, holding specialized courses, and benefiting from the successful experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in international Quran competitions.

Adam Shantadze, the Mufti of Western Georgia, while appreciating the presence of Younes Shahmoradi in Georgia, considered the presence of reciters and prominent Quranic figures of the Islamic Republic of Iran as valuable for the Muslim community of his country.

Referring to the presence of Karim Mansouri, an international reciter of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in last year's holy month of Ramadan programs in the Adjara region, he stated: "These programs were met with great enthusiasm by the Muslims of the region and have left valuable cultural and spiritual effects."

The Mufti of Western Georgia added: "The Muslim community of Adjara province has a great interest in the presence of reciters and Quranic figures of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

He expressed hope that joint cooperation in the field of Quranic activities, especially the exchange of reciters, holding gatherings for communion with the Holy Quran, and educational programs, would be further expanded.

Shantadze also described the successes and achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in facing international challenges and pressures as a source of pride for the Islamic world and wished the people of Iran increasing dignity, honor, and progress.

The two sides emphasized the continuation of consultations and follow-up on areas of joint cooperation in the Quranic, cultural, and religious fields.
