According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Sheikh Hammoud stressed that supporting Iran is both a moral and religious duty. He stated that Iran’s steadfastness in the face of pressure and sanctions represents a turning point on the path toward a major victory.
In the final communiqué, read by Sheikh Ghazi Hanineh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Association, participants highlighted the following concerns in light of recent regional developments:
The escalation of threats and hostile rhetoric against Iran and its Supreme Leader
The continuation of what they described as unjust economic sanctions and unilateral pressures
Efforts aimed at isolating Iran and distorting the image of Iran and the Axis of Resistance
Military provocations and repeated threats in the region
Violations of Iran’s national sovereignty
The statement also referenced global corruption scandals involving certain powers as examples of the contradiction between proclaimed justice and actual practice.
Declared Principles and Positions
The meeting concluded by reaffirming the following principles and positions:
1-Safeguarding national independence and the right of peoples to self-determination
2-Rejecting economic sanctions and supporting a “resistance economy”
3-Strengthening unity within the Islamic Ummah and the Axis of Resistance
4-Emphasizing the legitimacy of resistance while rejecting what was described as fabricated terrorism
5-Resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy
6-Promoting media fairness, countering misinformation, and strengthening humanitarian and Islamic solidarity with Iran
The participants also recommended that Islamic countries adopt official positions in support of Iran, that international organizations and legal institutions play an active role in confronting sanctions, and that religious authorities issue supportive statements and fatwas.
Final Messages
The concluding messages of the meeting were addressed to three groups:
1-To the leadership and people of Iran: “You are not alone, and your steadfastness is inspiring.” 2-To major powers: “The will of nations cannot be broken by sanctions and pressure, and truth ultimately prevails.” 3-To free peoples around the world: “Indifference in such circumstances is not neutrality; be the voice of justice and stand with the oppressed.”
Participants emphasized that this solidarity would continue and that the meeting’s recommendations must be translated into practical measures to ensure tangible support for Iran and the Axis of Resistance.
