Enemy Movements in the Region Are Being Closely Monitored
Hatami congratulated the audience on the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali Akbar (AS) and praised the bravery and contributions of young Iranian soldiers in defending the country. He noted that the ceremony was taking place shortly after the recent 12‑day conflict and amid ongoing hostility from Iran’s adversaries.

He emphasized that all those who wear the uniform of defending the nation—whether protecting the Islamic Republic, national security, or the achievements of the Islamic Revolution—are held in high regard by the Iranian people. He said recent events demonstrated that Iran’s enemies would exploit any opportunity to harm the country’s independence, territorial integrity, and national security. “The Islamic Republic Cannot Be Eliminated”
Referring to the recent conflict, Hatami said the enemy had openly declared its intention to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, including its scientists, infrastructure, and capabilities, and to dismantle Iran’s defensive power—particularly its missile program. He added that claims of 18 years of planning were false, arguing that such efforts had been underway for nearly 50 years, beginning with the first post‑revolution sanctions, which targeted Iran’s defense sector.
He stressed that the enemy miscalculated and failed, and that Iran’s defensive capabilities remain intact as valuable national assets.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be eliminated,” he said, noting that as long as Iranian scientists, universities, and research centers remain active, Iran’s defensive power will endure.
Hatami stated that despite decades of sanctions, Iran’s defense capabilities have become fully indigenous and irreversible. He said Iran now possesses stronger missile, air defense, and other military capacities than before the 12‑day conflict, thanks to the unique operational insights gained during the confrontation.
He added that even Russia, despite years of conflict with NATO, has not experienced a situation comparable to Iran’s recent 12‑day war. Leadership Losses Did Not Weaken Iran’s Defense
Hatami said the enemy believed assassinating Iranian commanders would weaken Iran’s defense structure, but new commanders were immediately appointed, sending a clear message that such actions are ineffective. He emphasized that Iran’s armed forces are filled with capable officers and soldiers committed to defending the country.
He noted that although the enemy inflicted damage on Iran’s air defense and air force, all affected units have since returned to a stronger position than before. He said the enemy relied on false information from opposition groups abroad and misjudged the Iranian public, which ultimately responded with unity and resilience. Internal Destabilization Attempts Failed
Hatami accused Iran’s adversaries of attempting to exploit domestic issues to create unrest, but said these efforts failed due to public awareness. He claimed that armed groups were instructed to provoke violence, but the Iranian people quickly recognized the plot. Despite casualties, he said, the public delivered a decisive response on January 11.
He warned that the adversary continues its long‑standing efforts to undermine Iran and that the only effective strategy is to convince the enemy that any aggression will be met with severe consequences. This, he said, requires national unity and cohesion. Cognitive Warfare and Attempts to Divide the Nation
Hatami described cognitive warfare as a major component of the enemy’s hybrid strategy, saying foreign media are attempting to create divisions within Iranian society. He argued that separatist groups operating near Iran’s borders reveal the true intentions of Iran’s adversaries.
He said the ultimate goal of Iran’s enemies is the fragmentation of the country, but noted that the Islamic Republic—unlike previous governments—has prevented any territorial loss despite an eight‑year war. “Our Finger Is on the Trigger”
Hatami reiterated that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared and that enemy movements are being monitored with precision.
“If the enemy makes a mistake, it will endanger its own security, the region’s security, and the security of the Israeli regime,” he said.
He thanked neighboring countries for refusing to allow their territory to be used against Iran, calling their stance wise and stabilizing for the region.
Hatami concluded by saying that Iran is the most peace‑seeking nation in the region and has never attacked another country, but that threatening a nation like Iran is a grave mistake.
He emphasized that Iran’s experienced commanders and dedicated soldiers stand ready to respond and that the armed forces will not allow adversaries to disrupt the lives of the Iranian people.
