During these conversations, Dr. Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation for the consistent and brotherly support of the two friendly and fraternal countries, Qatar and Pakistan, and voiced hope that unity, solidarity, and cooperation among Islamic countries would be further strengthened and deepened.
Emphasizing the principled approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting dignified diplomacy based on international law, equality, the avoidance of threats and coercion, and the pursuit of win-win outcomes, the President stated: If the American side is genuinely seeking negotiations and real diplomacy, it must refrain from such provocative and tension-escalating actions and demonstrate in practice its commitment to the path of dialogue.
Reiterating that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never initiated war and does not welcome conflict, Dr. Pezeshkian noted: We believe that war and confrontation benefit no party, and we remain committed to engagement and diplomacy; however, we will not allow, as in past experiences, to be threatened or attacked during negotiations, and we will resolutely defend our country and nation.
The Emir of Qatar and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, in turn, stressed their firm rejection and opposition to any actions against the security, independence, and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including war, sanctions, or political interference, and reaffirmed their countries’ longstanding principled stance of support and solidarity with the government and people of Iran.
They also underscored the necessity of continuing diplomatic efforts to create opportunities for dialogue, engagement, and the resolution of issues through political and diplomatic means, warning that any escalation or conflict could plunge the region into a cycle of widespread violence and instability with disastrous consequences for all regional countries.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Shehbaz Sharif praised the principled, rational, and responsible approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in choosing the path of dialogue, engagement, and diplomacy, and emphasized the continuation of efforts to develop effective initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable solutions to existing challenges.
