Regional Leaders Condemn Israeli Assassination of Yemeni Officials

Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, Secretary-General of Iraq’s Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, expressed condolences to Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, leader of Ansarallah, and the Yemeni people. He described the fallen officials as “heroes of the Arab and Islamic world who ascended on the path to Jerusalem,” and reaffirmed Iraq’s solidarity with Yemen.
In a statement, Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada emphasized that the martyrdom of Yemeni leaders would not be in vain, but would instead strengthen and unify the resistance front.
Abu Alaa Al-Wala’i, the group’s leader, praised Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine and condemned the attack as further evidence of Israel’s brutality and disregard for human values.
Lebanese political analyst Nasser Qandil stated that the targeting of Yemeni government officials reflects Israel’s frustration and inability to halt Yemen’s military pressure. He added that the assassination was a desperate attempt by Netanyahu to project strength amid continued humiliation by Gaza’s resistance forces.
The Moroccan Commission for Support of the Nation’s Causes also condemned the airstrikes, calling them “an assault on the sovereignty of an Arab nation” and a violation of international law. The commission urged Arab and Islamic governments to sever ties with Israel and called on international organizations to hold the occupying regime accountable.
Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance groups issued a joint statement asserting that Israel’s “Nazi-style assassinations” would never break Yemen’s resolve or diminish its support for Palestine. They praised Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi and the Yemeni people for their sacrifices, affirming that no amount of loss would deter Yemen’s commitment to the Palestinian cause.
The airstrikes, which targeted civilian infrastructure and densely populated neighborhoods in Sana’a, have sparked outrage across the region and renewed calls for international intervention.
