He stated, "In the final statement of the conference, the challenges and issues in the field of higher education and technology were discussed and agreed upon by the countries. One of the most important focal points of this statement is the ethical concerns regarding the use of new technologies, especially artificial intelligence."
He added, "Unfortunately, just as there is potential for misuse in many technologies, similar threats exist in the field of artificial intelligence. For example, Israel is currently using this technology against the oppressed people of Gaza. Therefore, addressing the ethical aspects of artificial intelligence is of utmost importance so that this technology is used correctly and humanely, serving to improve human life, promote peace, growth, and spirituality."
The Minister of Science further noted the goals of the conference, stating, "One of the main objectives is to develop scientific cooperation among Islamic countries through bilateral meetings. In these meetings, the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various scientific and technological fields, especially artificial intelligence, will be presented."
He emphasized, "Fortunately, Iran holds a respectable position in many scientific and technological areas, and our graduates are highly regarded by many countries. They acknowledge that Iran's scientific and technical capacity is impressive and valuable."
Simaei concluded, "We will use this opportunity to exchange experiences, increase convergence, and create brotherhood and solidarity among Islamic countries. Undoubtedly, joint cooperation in scientific fields is one of the most straightforward, healthiest, and most humane methods for participation and synergy among countries, and this is good news for the future of scientific interactions in the Islamic world."
