International Conference "Russia and the Islamic World" is Ongoing in Kazan
According to the Taghrib News Agency, the sixteenth international gathering of Russia and the Islamic World began on Tuesday in Kazan, Russia, with representatives from 103 Islamic countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, Malaysia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, the UAE, and Senegal. The conference will continue until Sunday, May 18.

The aim of this meeting is titled "Russia's Experience and the Islamic World Countries in Youth Policy: Common Challenges and Joint Actions."
Among the key themes of this conference are the further enhancement of mutual understanding and the exchange of experiences between youth organizations in Russia and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the field of youth policy, as well as strengthening and developing joint programs and initiatives for youth aimed at promoting participation in public life, instilling respect for historical, cultural, spiritual, and ethical national values.
The conference will focus on the implementation of educational programs, educational and research projects, holding conferences, seminars, and various international public awareness events, and expanding cooperation between collaborating Russian and foreign universities. Proposals for joint actions against the radicalization of youth and measures to prevent extremism will also be discussed.
Hojjatoleslam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, is representing our country at this meeting.
