A Diplomatic Gift to War, echoing Netanyahu’s call for regional war

27 Aug 2025 - 16:40

The founder of the Islamic Friendship Association of Australia says Australia’s expelling Iran’s ambassador from Canberra clarifies that the country echoes Netanyahu’s call for regional war.

Keysar Trad, former president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, has issued a statement to call Australia’s move as a “pathetic act of fealty designed to soothe a bruised ego”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The following is the statement issued by Kesar Trad:

Just days after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu publicly branded our government’s recognition of Palestine an act of "shocking moral cowardice," Canberra cowers with appeasement instead of towering with justice!

Australia’s response in expelling Iran’s ambassador without alleging any personal involvement on his part (in the antisemitic attacks) clarifies that Australia is echoing Netanyahu’s call for regional war. This is not a security decision; it is a pathetic act of fealty designed to soothe a bruised ego in Tel Aviv. This choreographed obedience in such close proximity to our recognition of Palestine, reeks of a calculated message to validate the bloodlust in Tel Aviv: "Our unquestioning fealty is reaffirmed."

As a former public servant, I trust the training of our intelligence communities. I do not, however, trust the political machinery that weaponizes intelligence for geopolitical theatrics.

Where is the evidence? Where is the chain of proof that justifies this fallout? We ask for this proof, with the full weight of history in mind—a history that includes Israeli state-sponsored false flag operations designed to deceive the world, from the Lavon Affair in Egypt to the attack on the USS Liberty. Who are the real perpetrators here?

The sole beneficiary of this diplomatic fracture is the one state that has long sought a pretext to strike Iran. And now, Australia risks complicity in manufacturing that pretext.

We must ask the fundamental question: cui bono? Who profits from painting Iran as the architect of violence, while its own Jewish population lives in peace? The mechanism of this influence is no secret. As former Foreign Minister Bob Carr stated:

“No other country has an operation as well-funded... This is a foreign influence operation.”

These are the powerful agents of a foreign power, and their choreography is clear: silence dissent, reward escalation, and greenlight massacre.

To expel a diplomat without public evidence—at the very moment Israel continues a campaign of massacres that stretch back to Zionist terror gangs before the British Mandate, a campaign that has reached a genocidal crescendo since October 2023—is a betrayal of the Australian ethos of justice. It trivializes war crimes and gaslights the dead.

Australia must never be a hasbara mouthpiece. We cannot allow the recognition of Palestine to be threatened or immediately undone by the erasure of reason. I urge the Prime Minister to re-evaluate this maneuver and pursue the real perpetrators.
