Iran’s president stresses unity, resistance against bullying powers
Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with Indian religious leaders and intellectuals held in New Delhi on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Citing verses from the Holy Qur’an, the Iranian president said, “The right path means that we act based on righteousness, do not oppress others and serve our people.”

Pezeshkian referred to Iran’s stance against the United States and the Israeli regime, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic would not bow to bullying powers.

“These claimants of human rights are Satans who accuse us of being terrorists because we do not bow to bullying or undermine the rights of others,” he said.

Referring to US policies toward the Iranian nation, Pezeshkian said, “The US does not want other nations to be independent,” and condemned Washington for escalating war and pursuing plots against the Iranian people since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

President Pezeshkian also expressed hope for the expansion of relations between Iran and India and for stronger ties between Tehran and New Delhi.
