Nearly 800 children martyred in Israeli attacks on Lebanon
Lebanese officials and institutions have announced that during nearly three years of Zionist regime attacks on Lebanon, nearly 800 children have lost their lives, and approximately 360,000 children have been displaced.

Attacks by the Zionist regime on Lebanon over the past 24 hours have resulted in the death and injury of children. In an airstrike on a house in the town of "Kfar Rouman" in the Nabatiyeh region of southern Lebanon, two children were killed and four others were injured.

Three other children were also injured in Zionist regime attacks on the towns of "Arab Salim" and the city of Nabatiyeh.

"Anaya Ezzedine," a Lebanese parliament member and head of the Parliament's Women and Children Committee, announced on Saturday: "Nearly 800 children have been killed during Israel's two wars in 2024 and 2026."

She added that a large number of children have also suffered severe injuries and have undergone multiple surgeries, with some having lost limbs or eyes.

Ezzedine emphasized that these children will require years of medical treatment and care, as well as specialized psychological, emotional, and social support. Approximately 360,000 children, out of a total of about 1.2 million people forced to leave their homes, have been displaced.

According to this Lebanese official, many children have been displaced more than once, because the areas they sought refuge in were also targeted.

Ezzedine added that some children were targeted along with their families on displacement routes or while being forced to leave their homes.

She warned that the consequences of war for children are not limited to physical injuries, and the "invisible wounds" resulting from these attacks can have long-term effects on their lives.

This Lebanese official emphasized that hundreds of thousands of children need long-term psychological treatment programs and emotional and social support to cope with the loss of loved ones, constant fear, and persistent feelings of insecurity.
