According to Taghrib News Agency (TNA), Mamosta Faeq Rostami, on Monday evening, congratulating the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Unity Week, stated: "The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is a clear model of mercy, guidance, and responsibility towards human society, and his conduct can be a guide for today's social life."
Referring to the status of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the Quran, he added: "God chose the Prophet from among human beings to interact with human society and to feel responsible for the problems and sufferings of the people. Therefore, acting upon religious duties alongside attention to societal issues is important."
Unity should not remain merely a slogan
The Friday Prayer Leader of Sanandaj, stating that the greatest goal of the religion of Islam is to create unity and solidarity in society, said: "There is a difference between solidarity and unity. People may be together, but true unity is realized when this cohesion is seen in the behavior and actions of the people."
Rostami continued: "True unity means that the grief of one is the grief of all, and the pain, suffering, and problems of each individual are considered the concern of others. Therefore, unity must encompass all dimensions of social life and should not be limited to a single issue."
The Prophet's (PBUH) conduct as a model for justice and equality
The Friday Prayer Leader of Sanandaj, referring to the conduct of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) in creating a society based on justice, stated: "The Holy Prophet (PBUH) began justice from his closest relatives and household, and in Islamic society, he did not differentiate in human value among individuals with different statuses and backgrounds."
He added: "In early Islam, individuals with different ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds stood beside the Prophet and reached important positions based on faith and merit. This shows that Islam seeks to create a society based on equality and human dignity."
Rostami, referring to the presence of figures such as Salman al-Farsi in the Islamic society of that era, said: "The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) showed through his behavior that the criterion of human value is not skin color, ethnicity, or background, and that all human beings have dignity."
Consultation as one of the foundations of Islamic governance
He considered consultation as another principle emphasized in the Prophet's (PBUH) conduct, and said: "Despite the lofty status of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), God emphasized consultation with his companions and associates, and this shows the importance of participation and the use of diverse perspectives in Islamic society."
The Friday Prayer Leader of Sanandaj noted: "Today, Islamic societies should also benefit from these teachings and, by strengthening justice, equality, and social participation, prepare the ground for greater solidarity among the people."
The enemy seeks to create rifts in Islamic societies
Rostami, referring to the situation of the Islamic world, stated: "The enemies have always tried to create differences among Muslims and exploit existing rifts to weaken Islamic countries."
He added: "In a situation where Islamic countries face various threats, we need to strengthen unity and avoid discord and enmity more than ever. We should not allow ethnic, religious, and social issues to become a factor for distancing people from one another."
The Friday Prayer Leader of Sanandaj further, expressing gratitude for the presence of the Secretary of the Headquarters for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil in Kurdistan, appreciated the efforts of institutions active in strengthening unity and social cohesion.
Rostami also, commemorating the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defense, and the martyrs of Kurdistan, emphasized the necessity of preserving national solidarity and strengthening the spirit of steadfastness against threats.
In conclusion, he said: "Islamic society can stand against problems and threats only when it moves unity beyond the stage of slogans and realizes it in justice, equality, consultation, empathy, and attention to one another's problems in daily life."
