Ghalibaf: Any Violation of Iran's Interests Will Face a "Heavier and More Painful" Response

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf declared that the era of “proportional responses” is over, warning that any future aggression against Iran’s security and interests will be met with "faster, heavier, and more painful" retaliation.
Ghalibaf: Any Violation of Iran
In a speech before today’s parliamentary session, Ghalibaf emphasized that recent Iranian strikes on U.S. bases in the region should be seen as a "starting point", not the full extent of Iran’s military capability.

“The Americans must have realized by now that the rules of the game have changed. If they haven’t understood it yet, they must before it's too late,” he stated, framing Iran’s posture as strategically deterrence-oriented rather than merely reactive.

Historical Context: Black Friday and the Spirit of Resistance

Ghalibaf began his remarks by commemorating the anniversary of Black Friday (17 Shahrivar, September 8, 1978), when the Pahlavi regime cracked down on anti-government protesters in Tehran's Jaleh Square.

He described that event as a “turning point” that watered the roots of the Islamic Revolution, arguing that the same spirit of sacrifice and resistance against tyranny is needed today.

Current Threat Assessment: Full-Scale Warfare

According to Ghalibaf, Iran is currently engaged in a multi-front, full-scale war with the “entire front of disbelief.” He noted that U.S. officials, after recent Iranian military strikes on American bases, are now in a state of confusion and desperation, resorting to fabricated AI-generated visuals and disinformation to manipulate the narrative.

“They are using artificial intelligence to produce fake images and videos of the battlefield,” he said, accusing Washington of trying to hide its defeats.

Economic Warfare: The Main Battlefield Today

While acknowledging the military dimension, Ghalibaf stressed that the primary front today is economic.

He cited inflation, rising exchange rates, unemployment, and energy management as the major challenges facing Iranians, adding: “The Iranian people endure hardship, but they will not tolerate mismanagement.”

He called for short- and long-term strategies based on domestic production, smart management of imports, and the integration of young, tech-savvy elites in policymaking.

“We must use the nation’s technological capacity to build a wall against foreign greed,” he said.

Internal Cohesion vs. Foreign Pressure

Ghalibaf reaffirmed the Supreme Leader’s guidance as a strategic doctrine across all areas, while warning that internal division and weakness are contrary to national interest.

“Any word or action that undermines internal cohesion or external deterrence is not just irrational, but also in opposition to the Leader’s explicit guidelines,” he said, urging officials to address problems without projecting national weakness.
