Paris, the capital of France, on Saturday, September 5, witnessed widespread protests in support of Palestine – protests in which participants called on the French government to impose sanctions against the Zionist regime in response to its actions.
Palestinian supporters gathered at the "Châtelet" square in central Paris. The gathering was called by the "Europe-Palestine" association.
Protesters, holding Palestinian flags and placards reading "Sanction Israel" and "Freedom for Palestinians," marched through the streets of Paris.
Participants also emphasized their continued protests by chanting slogans such as "Genocide is taking place in Gaza, we will not remain silent," and warned against the international community's silence regarding what is happening in Gaza.
Protesters carried images depicting scenes of killing and what they called genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Participants also took a stance against the Zionist regime's actions in the West Bank, especially the demolition of Palestinian homes and efforts to forcibly displace residents of the area.
These popular protests took place as the Zionist regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip continue since October 7, 2023, with tens of thousands of people martyred or wounded in these attacks.
