The Administrative Board of the Muslim Scholars Association of Lebanon, in its periodic meeting, reviewed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, and emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation between the government, the army, and the resistance to defend Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
While welcoming the release of five Lebanese prisoners, who are said to have been freed as a result of negotiations with the Zionist regime, the Association emphasized that this action, despite its humanitarian and national significance, cannot be considered a complete achievement, and that all Lebanese prisoners must be released unconditionally, attacks must cease, and the Zionist regime must fully withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories.
Condemnation of Zionist attacks on Lebanon
The Muslim Scholars Association strongly condemned the continued Zionist regime attacks on Lebanon and the policy of organized destruction, considering it a clear violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and international laws and charters.
The Association called on Lebanese officials to abandon their failed options and return to a solution that has the greatest capacity to protect Lebanon – a solution based on cooperation and synergy between the government, the army, and the resistance within the framework of a national equation with sustainable popular support.
Condemnation of the continued aggression on Gaza
The Muslim Scholars Association also condemned the continued aggression of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip, and considered the martyrdom of "Fadi Ali Saeed al-Abada," a fighter of the Saraya al-Quds in northern Khan Yunis, as one of the latest crimes of this regime.
This body described the aforementioned crime as another violation of the ceasefire agreement and a new sign of the Zionist regime's failure to adhere to any commitment or agreement, and condemned the continuation of the war against the Palestinian people in the shadow of international silence.
Condemnation of the execution of a Palestinian youth in Al-Quds
The Association also condemned the action of the Zionist occupation forces in executing "Ibrahim al-Hindi" after his arrest in the early morning hours near Bab al-Amud in occupied Al-Quds.
The Muslim Scholars Association considered this action a continuation of the policy of field executions and extrajudicial killings, and emphasized that these crimes are committed in open defiance of international and humanitarian laws and charters.
The US attack on a wedding ceremony in Iran
In another part of its statement, the Muslim Scholars Association described the US attack on a wedding ceremony in Iran's mountainous region as a "war crime," and called for widespread international condemnation and the punishment of those responsible for this attack.
The Association emphasized that such crimes will not prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from defending its nation, land, and sovereignty, and will not be able to break Iran's will or force it to accept hegemonic and aggressive policies.
In conclusion, the Muslim Scholars Association called for the formation of the broadest Arab, Islamic, and international position against the continued aggressions of the US and the Zionist regime against the nations of the region, and emphasized the necessity of unifying capacities and resources to defend the sovereignty, dignity, and legitimate rights of nations, especially the right of the Palestinian people to liberate their land and form an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
