The spokesperson for the Iraqi government announced that proposals to extend the presence of foreign forces in the country had been put forward, but the Iraqi government has opposed them.

"Haidar al-Abudi," the spokesperson for the Iraqi government, stated that proposals had been made regarding the extension of foreign forces' presence in the country, but the Iraqi government has rejected these proposals.
 
He added: "The presence of foreign forces, including advisors, will not be extended on Iraqi soil."
 
The date for the withdrawal and pullout of the so-called international coalition forces (American) from Iraq has been set for September 30, 2026.
