The ultimate goal of unity is to lay the groundwork for a new Islamic civilization
The Director of the Islamic Center of West Azerbaijan Province, at the "Civilization-Building Scholar" ceremony, emphasizing that Islamic unity has a goal beyond convergence among Muslims, said: "The ultimate goal of unity is to prepare the ground for the sovereignty of religion in society and the formation of a new Islamic civilization."

He also, elaborating on some of the enemy's strategies and tactics, identified social cohesion, economic policies, avoiding polarization, and preventing the enemy from miscalculation as among the most important issues facing society.

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Saeed Azad Mousavi, the Director of the Islamic Center of West Azerbaijan Province, at the "Civilization-Building Scholar" ceremony, while honoring the memory of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the martyrs of Islam, Imam Khomeini (RA), the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, and the chemical warfare martyrs of Sardasht, expressed gratitude for the presence of scholars, Friday prayer leaders, and officials from various counties at this ceremony.

The Director of the Islamic Center of West Azerbaijan Province, referring to the theme of this ceremony during the days of Unity Week, said: "Perhaps for some friends, the question arises as to why, during Unity Week, we have chosen the title 'Civilization-Building Scholar' instead of holding a conference on 'Unity.'"

He added: "What do we want unity for? What is the goal and destination of this unity? Is it not that we want to be united and of one heart so that we may witness the sovereignty of religion in society and the world? Therefore, we want unity to ultimately achieve Islamic civilization and the new Islamic civilization."

Hujjat al-Islam Azad Mousavi continued: "On this basis, we decided that during Unity Week, instead of merely speaking about the importance, benefits, and methods of unity, we should speak about the goal of unity, because the ultimate goal of unity is to lay the groundwork for the formation of a new Islamic civilization."

In another part of his remarks, referring to Francis Fukuyama's "End of History" theory, he said: "In 1992, Fukuyama proposed the theory of the 'End of History,' claiming that humanity had reached the peak of its thought, and that liberal democracy is the final intellectual system of humanity, after which no new thought would emerge."

The Director of the Islamic Center of West Azerbaijan Province added: "One year after the proposal of this theory, Samuel Huntington, Fukuyama's teacher, proposed an article titled 'The Clash of Civilizations,' stating that the issue is not so simple, and that in the future, conflicts would occur between liberal democracy and other civilizations, including Islamic civilization."

He stated: "Huntington proposed various civilizations and believed that one of the most important conflicts would occur between Islamic civilization and liberal democracy."

Azad Mousavi, referring to the developments in the West Asia region, said: "What we are witnessing today in the region, from my perspective, is not merely a war between two countries, but part of a civilizational confrontation."

Referring to the wars and developments in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Palestine, as well as the events in Gaza, he stated: "We must correctly recognize the enemy and understand with what approach and what tactics it has entered the field."

The Director of the Islamic Center of West Azerbaijan Province considered the cohesion of the people as one of the most important strengths of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and said: "One of the most important tactics of the enemy is to strike at societal cohesion and create discord among the people."

Referring to the experience of war and regional developments, he added: "In the early days of the war, I also emphasized that the enemy cannot easily defeat a large country like Iran through ground and air attacks, because Iran's geographical expanse is vast. The point through which the enemy can harm the country is by creating rifts and destroying social cohesion."

Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Azad Mousavi further, referring to the experience of Iraq, said: "America was able to reach Baghdad in a short time and take control of various parts of Iraq, because social cohesion and public support for the governing structure did not exist in that country. But Iran's conditions are different, and the people have defended their country and system at critical junctures."
