The war of Imam Hussein (AS) with Yazid was a confrontation between correct and incorrect interpretations of religion

A professor of the seminary and university said: "The key to standing against the system of domination lies in a correct analysis of religious teachings and drawing lessons from the Ashura movement."
The war of Imam Hussein (AS) with Yazid was a confrontation between correct and incorrect interpretations of religion
Hujjat al-Islam Ali-Akbar Mirzaei, on Tuesday evening at a passionate gathering of the people of Bandar Abbas, elaborating on the key role of "correct analysis" in strategic decision-making, stated: "If we do not have a correct analysis of issues and our surroundings, we will take the wrong path, and God forbid, in our statements and behind the podiums, instead of defending the truth, we will step on the path of falsehood."

Citing the valuable book "Ghurar al-Hikam wa Durar al-Kalim" by the late Abd al-Rahman al-Amadi, he referred to the words of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS), who said: "Indeed, everything has a reality" – meaning that everything has an essence and nature that must be understood.

Mirzaei added: "We are obligated to recognize the essence and nature of currents and make decisions accordingly. The essence of arrogance, colonialism, and Zionism is the destruction of Islam and the Quran. Just as the Prophet (PBUH) fought 80 battles against the polytheists of Quraysh and never compromised with their polytheistic nature."

This seminary professor, emphasizing the fundamental difference between the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and today's conditions, stated: "The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was a temporary 'ceasefire' based on expediency, not a compromise with disbelief and oppression. But today, the enemy is trying with all its might to bomb and sanction our country. So how can one speak of negotiation and compromise?"

He further, referring to the instructive dimensions of the Karbala event, noted: "The war of Imam Hussein (AS) with Yazid was not a war between two groups or sects; it was a confrontation between a 'correct interpretation of religion' and an 'incorrect interpretation of religion.' It was because of this analysis that the head of Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) was struck, the side of Siddiqa Tahira (SA) was broken, the body of Imam Hasan (AS) was cut into pieces, and the body of Imam Hussain (AS) was torn apart, and Imam al-Zaman (AJ) went into occultation."

In conclusion, Mirzaei, emphasizing the slogans "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" as concrete examples of correct analysis, stated: "We have learned in the school of Ashura that 'Far be it from us to accept humiliation.' We seek the elimination of the thoughts of arrogance and Zionism from the face of the earth, and God willing, their destruction is near. This is the same path for which Imam Khomeini and our dear martyrs, including Martyr Mirzaei, sacrificed their lives."
